Found the fishing site at lake cavanaugh. First had to ignore the sign at the corner of highway 9 and lake cavanaugh road . Sign reads no public launch, no public facilities. Fishing site was well maintained, and well marked.
Launched at 8:30. Fish were hitting on the surface. fished with red wedding ring, gang troll,tipped with corn and pink hoochie,and gang troll, tipped with corn.
Caught fish on the surface down to 20 feet. size from 11'' to 13". Lost one over 15" lost several more size indeterminate. Kept 6 between my wife and my self. Done fishing by noon. Ski boat traffic started at 9:00 A good day.
