From what I understand there was a blue-green algae advisory issued on July 22. Since then the lake has cleared, but I'm not sure if the advisory has been lifted. The trollers are doing best with the usual wedding ring set-ups.
The lake is clearing up fast and you could see a dodger down 10+ feet. We caught a few and were happy with the results. I know other anglers who caught far more (and some less) than we did.
Green Apex behind a dodger did it for us but the wedding ring set up guys did pretty good too.
I am heading to Odell tomorrow to camp for a few days. I see the algae bloom warning is lifted. We are going to try Crescent on Saturday if nothing is happening at Odell. Anyone have any suggestions in helping us fill our cooler?
I haven't been over there since last spring but in years past I go to the west end and jig in early morning. And then troll after that with a nightcrawler and a piece of corn behind a ford finder. Good luck fishing
