New to the forum (and kokanee fishing) and planning two trips to Odell this summer. June 6th through the 10th and then five days in August. Being the eternal optimist, and having read many posts and articles about the number of fish people catch, what is the best way to keep ones fish fresh for the trip home. The first trip will include a friend with a small RV fridge. Does Shelter Cove freeze fish and keep them for you? I have considered purchasing a Yeti cooler, but they are pretty spendy. I do plan to take my Food Saver. What has worked for forum members.

If you do any canning, consider taking a smoker, pressure cooker and jars with you, and can them as you catch them. We used to do that in Alaska where the limit was 3 sockeye a day. Catch 3 reds, smoke em while fishing for Kings, can 'em, repeat. Check the possesion limit and make sure you follow the rules.

I just called Shelter Cove. Very nice people. Was advised that they have two freezers they will allow fisherman to use to keep their catch frozen. 2.5 hour drive home, so should work perfectly. Guess I answered my own question.
