Good Action Saturday
July 24th (Saturday) the wife and I caught our limits on Kokes. 1 at 16 inches and the balance were between 12 to 14 inches. My wife lost the largest one we have every hooked in Ririe Res. Wish it was a picture rather than a story.
Lots of feed in the fish. Next year could be a banner year. We shall see.
Used RMT dogers, (standard 5 inch blade with Pink stripe down the middle) and any thing attached to them that was in the pink or orange color range worked well. Didn't matter what I used, hoochies, bugs or killers.
What made the difference was the length of the leader. Around 10 " work the best.
The fish are definelty responding to aggresive movement.
Water temp close to 70 degrees on the surface, depth> most fish caught between 40ft and 50 ft.
Thousands of small fish Hovering between 70 and 90 ft.
One fish with a slight color change so a couple weeks , or less left for fishing for 3 year old fish, would be a guess.

Fished Ririe this morning and it Rocked! Took a while to narrow down what they wanted . . . the usual fare wouldn't even get a bite. After trying about a dozen patterns I think the fish and I have an understanding now!tooexcited
