Is it June yet? I'm sure missing our spring Koke fishing. We are only going to get 2.5 months this year at the rate we are going.101thumbsdown101

No kidding, It will be a short season. I changed one of my weeks of vacation and moved it back.(into what I hope will be better fishing) Seem like spring fishing is simply gone! Still frozen over at Henry's and I.P. Muddy and brown at Ririe 101blah101

I feel your pain 101no101 down south of your border. High flowing rivers breaking over the banks and muddy fishing holes. 101thumbsdown101

You guys keep getting clobbered with all those storms out of the south as well.

I'm growing webs between my toes!

I have a canal a Qrt mile from my house that runs out of Ririe. It is looking better. Next weekend might be fishable at Ririe! thumbsup

Just checked the water at Blacktail. Its not pretty Blue but;

If one fishes between the S curves and the dam, you should find fishable water. There is still color in the water, but it should be changing quickly.

Don was right with the middle of June prediction for more ideal water.

But for those who just cant wait, think lake trolls off of your down rigger weights and some of the other technics that you would use during low light conditions when the water is clear.101idea101

Good Luck, I plan on giving it a try at Ririe next weekend. By the way, despite the wind, the temperature up there was OK. A sweat shirt and windbraker would work fine!

Yaba daba do mememe Time to fish I THINK

Fished Ririe this morning. Another 3 weeks and I'll try it again. The water is just to dirty for a bite to come on.101thumbsdown101

Still no good

And to Don guess I missed you i got up to late so decided to give it the late attack. I started fishing about 3 I guess, 4 hours and one trout was it tried all the good stuff. Hey I'm looking for a 357 to take out some off the hot rods on the lake, ya know the ones that go by 20 feet full blast.

Why anyone would let their kids ski with all the junk in the water is beyond my understanding. I had to tow one of the hot rodders in. I think that Ririe may just be the hub for dummies on water.

I love it when they go by full blast a rods distance away and then wave.101thumbsdown101

For the most part they are to deep to be eating. Most of the fish are at 35 to 50' in water that light can't penetrate more than probably 10' in enough quantity to grow plankton. I saw one fish jump in 8 hours of trolling the last time out. The fish that are trying to find food are at 24' on the wire.

BAD NEWS,

Talked to a guy who was above Willow Creek. He said that it was heavy muddy and pouring into the reservior again. It may be Mid July before good fishing. What a year!bandmyhead

I'll post a report after my boat around on Saturday. I'm hoping for a fish around but . . .

Any body make it up there this weekend? Planning on going up there Friday to do some fishing and craw-fish diving, wondering what the water conditions are (temp, clarity).
