Snubbers

Do you use snubbers when trolling for Koke's?

I usually troll with longline mono, banana weight, small three bladed troll, a snubber, some leader, and then the lure. I always use the snubber because I lose fewer fish. I've not used a down rigger, so someone else will have to give you that info.

Welcome aboard Electchief. I fish Paulina with downriggers and have never used a snubber. With a limber rod and mono line the snubbers aren't needed in my opinion. The only time i might use one is with in-line gang trolls like Physion mentioned but i normally run them off the ball.

always with lead line.... sometimes with braid.. never with mono...

with down riggers and the right rod and mono no need, long lining with all the weight and flashers probobly and it wont hurt any way just an extra precaution more important is to make sure what ever you are using slides on the line like hochies or apex that way the fish can't use it for leverage to pry it out of his mouth good luck. dfly
