Had an awesome day on the lake with my kids! Fished from about 6:30 to 1:30 we landed 26 and lost probably 20 or so. Needless to say the kids weren't bored! Best of all we caught everything on lures we (the kids and I) tied. We went threw a few that were duds but once we found what worked it was signfishin the rest of the day. The only thing that worked right off the bat was the purple and pink hoochie with a small spinner behind a purple dodger. That thing produced all day! Shawn had a rainbow bead set with a red smile blade and as long as there was bait on the hook it was HOT! We tried out a few others on Sarah's line before switching over to another purple and pink hoochie and then it started producing as well, not quite as well as the other one but what a blast. The fish arnt the quality that Merwin is putting out, but the quantity is awesome! Keeps the kids busy! Here are some pics of the day. And for the first time EVER I had boats pulling along side me asking "whats the secret?" , major boost for my newbie confidence! stomper Now if i can just figure out Merwin, that lake has still has me scratching my head.

Yale is kicking out a lot of kokanee right now. We fished Friday and Saturday averaging about ten fish an hour. (48 today from about 10am-3pm) They are not huge but man it keeps everyone busy. RP
