    American Lake info

There is a for pay launch off Gravily lake exit. Take Veteran's drive and it will be on the left when you get to the lake. Next exit South will take you to the free launch on the other side of the lake. Not sure if the Discover pass is required.

    Riffe Lake

If you are talking about motoring down there by boat, that would be a long trip if the wind comes up.

    Riffe Lake

You may have some luck up by the dam. Not sure what the water level is, but the launch would be free this time of year at the camp ground by the dam if there is enough water to launch. Good luck.

I think he was talking about Meridian not Merwin.

    Riffe Lake?

You know what, I also saw that one post. I could post a number of others that do NOT include kokes as what is in Riffe lake. And as stated above that would include WDFW info. I was in fact pretty sure that is what you were using as proof. I know full well what a koke looks like. I now live 1...

    Riffe Lake?

Check the other thread on Riffe lake, no kokes period. Some people call a Koke a silver trout, but it is still a Sockeye. There are no land locked Sockeye in Riffe lake.

    Riffe Lake?

I started fishing that lake the day it first opened (when the dam was new). Man am I getting old. There are NO Kokes you can fish as hard as you like. How about a pic of one. Don't forget something to prove where it came from.

I've been doing ok, both in the river, and in the sound at the mouth.

    New to area

The nets are in on the Nasty from noon Sunday to noon Wedsday. There should be Chum salmon in there now. Lots of fun and fishing on the Mounts road side gets rid of some of the fishermen. I may be down there Sunday in the morning. You should give it a try.

Steel Head & Late season Kings

I want to first say that I have been on sites in Washington for a number of years. And I know for a fact that WDFW checks these sites for things just like this. Those are some real nice fish. And I say this only to be helpful not to be some kind of a smart xxx. But I would suggest you check out...

    Using a Black Box

The purity of the water you are fishing will make a difference also. Salmon fishing in salt water is one thing, but there is not as much conductifity in fresh water. But if the fresh water lake you are fishing has a good amount of mineral content it would make a difference.

    Any Left?

For my first report, wife and I slept in a little late (7:15) so we got on the lake around 7:45. We ended up with 9, so we got close to our limits. I didn't get any pictures but most were around 15 inches. Pink hooche and maggots worked for us, we ran a little deeper around 30 feet.

Humminbird 597 ci hd di Not working well, need your thoughts.

Not trying to get into anything, it just seemed that she took the time to join the site just to try and help you (but I could be wrong). The way you discribe how the transducer was mounted was a little snippy. But it could just as easily have been how I read it. That's the problem with reading...

Wow, I feel your pain but that was uncalled for. By the way if your new car lost the tranny, a fixed one is exactly what you would get.

    American Lake

I think the best way is the second exit south of Gravely Lake. Turn Rt, 2 traffic lights (I think) turn left, there will be a small sign marking the left turn into the launch. Opens around 5 am. Hope this helps.

    American Lake

That is true, but the free launch on the other side of the lake opens around 5 am. Good report, haven't been out latley.
