The New Year will be here in a few days & I hope you are all thinking about WKP and helping to spread the word about it. Its going to take a lot of effort to get it going, we need members and especially in the Seattle - Tacoma area!
I really need a few of you to become Board Members so that I can start the paper work for the Non-Profit Organization !
So If you really want to see Washington Kokanee Power lets get started!

I hope to meet many of you at the Sportsman Show in Puyallup on Fri. or Sat. Jan. 27th & 28th. I will be spending some time with Gary from Shasta Tackle.

I've been adding a few names to to sign up list and we are working on the Board of Directors. Several people from the South West have applied BUT I need to round out the Board with some of you in the NW & the Eastern parts of the state!

I will be at the SPORTS SHOW in Puyallup on Fri. 27th & Sat. the 29th to meet as many of you as possible. I will be at the Shasta Tackle Booth so SEE YOU THERE!

Hello Richard,

I have checked the maps, the interet, and my memory. There are no campgrounds on Lakes- Cavenaugh, Samish, or Whatcom.
There are campgrounds on Baker Lake(slow fishing) . There is some times a sockeye run on Baker in Aug. and people do catch koks while fishing for sockeye. Not the greatest.

Thanks for the camping info, that will be very important to know when we start the derby's. When I fish a lake for the first time I love to camp & fish a few days before the fun starts!

Do any of you have any info on which Kokanee Lakes have good camp grounds in the area?

For all the rest of you I will be at the Show in Payullup on Fri. & Sat. Look for me at the Shasta Tackle booth and all the Kokanee Related Booths. Then in Feb. I'll be in Portland Show at the Kokanee Power of Oregon Booth all four days! Just cant get enough of that wonderful stuff!

Cushman has a awsome campground! And lot's of koke's, but they are small. You allready know about merwin, I wonder if camping is available at Fort lewis? They do have a campground.

There is a camp ground at Fort Lewis I checked today, sorry to say but it is open to DOD ID card holders only.

I know Lake Alder has a good size camp ground, but kokes are Yale size.
