    At Wickiup again

    Name of spinner set up?

Last year someone posted a pic of a kokanee spinner rig that was built around a long solid body - kinda like a rooster tail, but I think it was some type of foam, maybe like a "pill body" Can anyone remember what that was called? I would love a picture of the lure. I think it was someone from...

Last weekend was the first time we had purple/white hoochies take over the show. As the weekend wore on everything else went back in the box - go figure. It is a purple year??

    Downrigger set back Help.

I have been using a string of blades off my downrigger ball so the set back is about six feet to maximize the attraction. Used this system in 20-30 feet depths last year with great success.

    American Lake-Monday

koke fly Is this a chronomid pattern?? Has anyone here actually caught an early season koke on one of these? I met a guy at Bridge Lake BC many moons ago who used a similar pattern with more red. He caught a few fish on this as the water stabilized post-ice. RP see this link...

    Lake Meridian/Lake Sawyer

I think Meridian has land-locked silvers, not kokanee. They can be caught in the deeper sections of the lake. Sawyer is mostly shallow and is a better bet for spiny rays than trout - no kokanee to my knowledge. There are a lot of options in south King county for kid fishing - keep snooping and...

    Yale 7-11-11

Yale is kicking out a lot of kokanee right now. We fished Friday and Saturday averaging about ten fish an hour. (48 today from about 10am-3pm) They are not huge but man it keeps everyone busy. RP

Question on stainless vs braid for my DR

No braid yet but I am having issues with testing the downrigger before installing it. I brought the braid issue up because I remember someone saying the same thing Autorick said in his post. Remember this is an older cast DR with the raised digital pad - anyways I will get it figured one way or...

Question on stainless vs braid for my DR

Is there one of the cannon electric models that stops lifting when the cable exits the water? I am trying to test an older Cannon Digi-troll and I am wondering if the "UP" command requires the unit to be installed with the cable contacting the water??

Question on stainless vs braid for my DR

I know that somewhere in the discussion of braided cable for downriggers that it was mentioned that certain electric downriggers have part of their system grounded through the cable and therefore should not be loaded with braid. Does anybody know the specific make and model affected by this...

    Yale

Suggestion for Yale If you stay on Hwy 503 past the Cresap turnoff the next access you come to is Yale Park. Launch there and go straight across the water to the far side and you will see other guys fishing. Usually a productive spot. RP
